When you hear the word “cancer,” it is hard to think of the words “cancer survivor.” Thankfully, there are many cancer survivors who have lived and are still living to tell their stories. Among these stories, there is a lot of information given on what type of cancer the patient has, how the cancer team assessed it, what treatments they decided to use, and how the patient reacted to them.
Once a person is diagnosed with cancer, there are a lot of things they will have to do in order to be a survivor, such as having a positive attitude. Many survivor stories tell how important it is to have a positive attitude. This allows the patient to keep motivated so they will be able to overcome the cancer in order to be a survivor. It also helps to have a strong support system around them, no matter what hardships befall them. This lets the patient know that they are well cared for and loved. A healthy diet and exercise are also important for cancer patients to be strong, nourished, and healthy. Also, having a strong faith in a higher power is in many of their stories. Their beliefs keep their minds at peace no matter how hard it gets. Among all these aspects, it takes a lot for the patients and their loved ones to remain hopeful.
With every story heard, no matter what type of cancer inflicted upon its victim, there is a large window of belief, humor, and positive attitudes that helped in the healing the process.
