I'm excited about the "Look Good ....... Feel Better Program. The American Cancer Society, National Cosmetology Association and the Personal Care Products Council Foundation are united in an effort to help cancer patients with their skin care and make up. One noticeable reaction I had to chemo was dry skin. Your skin needs to have a good moisturizer.
Judy is a cancer navigator. She is experienced and compassionate. Judy heads up our program in Traverse City, Michigan. We sat down together and Judy provided me with products donated by Estee Lauder, Mary Kay, Channel, Maybeline, Aveda, Maxfactor, Merle Norman, Origins Organics and Physicians Formula. Judy took the time to show me how these products can brighten your look inside and out during a challenging time.
I received a box of Honeybell oranges from my sister Susan in Sarasota, Florida. These oranges are a rare hybrid of Duncan Grapefruit and Dancy Tangerines. They are juicy and sweet and loaded with Vitamin C. I'm paying close attention to foods I can tolerate and those that will make me healthy inside.
Attitude is a huge factor in my daily life. I believe I can not afford a negative thought. This is not to say I don't get sad or anxious. I do. But I surround myself with positive people. Together we are all strong.
